Braided patterns are the eye-catchers of the new Rosenthal Kumi line. Inspired by the craftsmanship of baskets, leather handbags and furniture, Kumi focuses on the delicate look of woven fabrics. The line, consisting of bread plates, breakfast plates, dinner plates, soup plates, cereal bowls and mugs, is made of silicate porcelain, a material that is more resistant to breakage and impact and at the same time has a slightly transparent appearance. The very flat rim and the outside of the bowls remain unglazed and accentuate the lively and delicate woven structure.
