One of Marcel Gascoin's most famous pieces, the C-CHAIR, was designed in 1947. The chair not only represents the aesthetic and practical power of Gascoin's designs, but also the social awareness that he strongly demonstrated in France in the post-war years. The C-CHAIR originally arose from the need to adapt to the new apartment sizes after the Second World War, and Gascoin compensated for the lack of space with simple, functional furniture.
